A state of war currently exists on the southern border … and all the speaker of the house and GOP do is take a trip to the border for photo ops. Where are the impeachment resolutions for the VP, president, and all of his cabinet. Treason is afoot, among other impeachable crimes, and the GOP’s answer to the dissolution of America is to take a vacation on the border.

“If you’ve got any sweet leads or krispy CCTV footage, donut keep it to yourself!”

In the Jan. 10 issue of The Gazette, Delaware County Treasurer Donald E, Rankey Jr. wrote: “Ohio’s sanctimonious Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown “prattled on about his efforts to protect Ohio from fentanyl trafficking.” He said, further, that “the primary reason that we have a fentanyl epidemic in this country … is our porous southern border.”

Ever since I can remember, I have had a fear of getting on an elevator. Back in the ’50s, when I had a dentist appointment in the office above the bank on Sandusky and Winter, I had to ride an elevator to get there. I’m not sure which floor it was on, but just one floor up was too much.

Learning to use a telescope is more than inputting some numbers into a tracking system and letting the telescope do all the work.

Education and awareness activities like the phrase “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk” have helped to change the impression of drunk driving in the U.S. Organizations like MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, have also worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving. Undoubtedly, efforts like these have saved countless lives.

The Ohio legislature is considering changes to the recently passed cannabis ballot initiative, aiming to align with voter intentions and enhance public safety. While I support these goals, certain proposed modifications will jeopardize public safety by fostering a black market. Legislators do not understand the intricacies of Ohio’s cannabis markets and how the legal cannabis market coexists with the grey and black markets.

After the holiday gift-giving season, I usually receive several emails from people who received Christmas telescopes.

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. This year Christmas was a lot of fun for my family. My daughter loved everything having to do with Christmas. In early December we started going to see the Christmas lights. She loved the lights. She also enjoyed creating new and different stories as we drove through the Christmas light displays.
