High prices sink to new low
Gas prices at the pumps around Delaware Tuesday afternoon climbed ever closer to the $4 mark, rising to $3.95. Congress says the ballooning prices can possibly be alleviated by temporarily halting the daily shipment of thousands of barrels of oil into the government’s emergency reserve. “When American consumers are burning at the stake by high energy prices, the government ought not be carrying the wood,” said one senator.
