Powell aims to define pedestrian-friendly building design

Powell City Council is considering adopting commercial development guidelines aimed at encouraging pedestrian friendly designs and aesthetics.

Dave Betz, city director of development, presented a 10-page manual defining in broad strokes pedestrian scale design for planned districts at the council meeting this week. Some design features in the manual include eye-pleasing facades, street-orientated buildings and paths welcoming pedestrian circulation.... Cont'd
