Delaware County Sheriff’s Office detective Jason Campbell, left, watches Delaware County victim services director Trish Wright sign a new county Sexual Assault Response Team protocol document Thursday morning in the county commission building on South Sandusky Street. Campbell said the new protocol outlines procedures for many agencies in the county, including schools and law enforcement, regarding how they handle sexual abuse cases. Campbell said he hopes the new protocol will demonstrate to the public that there is a plan in place if they need to report abuse. The signing by representatives from various county agencies Thursday commits the agencies to the new protocol. At right is Steve Sikora, a supervisor for Delaware County Job and Family Services.
