Delaware police report:

A man died after he suffered a seizure during a traffic stop conducted by police on Columbus Pike Tuesday at about 2 a.m. The vehicle had been pulled over for a traffic violation but a passenger in the vehicle began to have a seizure. The man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he later died. An investigation is ongoing.

Police scanner traffic indicated that a stabbing was reported at the Mingo Park bike trail Tuesday afternoon. However, when officers arrived, they learned it had been a prank.

A car was pulled over for a traffic violation Tuesday after 1 a.m. in the area of East William Street and Union Street. During the stop, police found the man to be intoxicated and arrested him. A search of the vehicle also revealed marijuana. The man was charged with OVI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was taken to the Delaware County Jail.

A dog was quarantined after it bit a resident on West Harrison Street Tuesday night. A report was taken and the dog remains in quarantine, in accordance with city policy.

An officer saw two teenage girls running away from the Kroger store on Columbus Pike Wednesday before 2 a.m. When he spoke to the girls, he learned they had just shoplifted merchandise from the store. The officer charged the girls with theft, underage drinking and violating curfew, and released them to their parents.
