OVI checkpoint on Sawmill Parkway

The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that an OVI checkpoint will be held from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. tonight on Sawmill Parkway in Delaware County.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

The checkpoint, with the help of the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Powell Police Department, will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
