Delaware police report:

A 17-year-old stole beer from the Beer Kooler on East Winter Street Tuesday night. The boy was caught by officers after a brief chase and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. Charges of theft were forwarded to the Delaware County Juvenile Court.

A man was exposing himself at McDonald’s on U.S. 23 Tuesday night. Police were able to locate the man a short time later and arrested him, charging him with public indecency.

A theft report was taken at JEGS Wednesday morning. Employees told police a new engine block was shipped out of state after an online transaction. The customer reported a problem with the part and returned it but, when the engine was returned, employees learned the new engine block had been replaced by a used one. An investigation is pending.

A man poured a drink on his girlfriend and hit her in the head with the can at their West Central Avenue apartment Thursday, just after midnight. The woman came to the police station lobby and reported the incident shortly after. Officer arrested the man for domestic violence.
