Preservation Parks of Delaware County has several programs coming up.

• “Perseid Meteor Shower Campout,” Friday, Aug. 12, 7 p.m. to Saturday, Aug. 13, 9 a.m. Bring your own food and overnight camping gear. Preservation Parks provide telescopes and activities. Go to the Preservation Parks website to register early for this program: www.preservationparks.com, and click on the registration button. Free, all ages. Blues Creek Park, 9627 Fontanelle Road, Ostrander.

The following free programs do not require advance registration:

• “Summer Bird Walk Series,” Saturday, July 30, 8 a.m. The second of three early-morning hikes led by park district staff this summer. This month participants will look for the young ones as they are out testing their wings and looking for food without their parents’ help. Free, ages 7 and older. Gallant Woods Park, 2151 Buttermilk Hill Road, Delaware.

• “Thursday Evening Concert Series,” Thursday, Aug. 4, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Featured will be Walt Sanders, an Elvis tribute and 1950s singer. Admission and parking are free, and donations are accepted. Attendees may bring blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments, or purchase food from a food truck. Alcohol is prohibited in the park. Free, all ages. Gallant Woods Park.
