Delaware police report:

A woman reported she had received numerous voice mails from a stranger over the weekend, despite telling the person not to call. The woman told police that in many of the voice mails, the caller made animal noises. An investigation is pending.

Officers were summoned to a business on Columbus Pike Monday morning when a vending machine company employee reported money had been taken from inside the machine. Officers spoke to staff at the building and learned an individual may have been in the machine. A report was filed and an investigation is pending.

Officers were requested at the Mingo Park recreation center for an assault report Monday afternoon. Police learned a 14-year-old girl shoved and struck a female staff member after being asked to leave the park following a disturbance in the gym. The staff member sustained minor injuries. Officers approached the juvenile and she was uncooperative and physically resisted officers. Police also observed she had been consuming alcohol. She was taken into custody for assault, underage consumption, obstructing officials business and resisting arrest. The girl was then transferred to a juvenile detention center.
