Delaware police report:

Employees at Kroger on Houk Road reported an intoxicated male was attempting to purchase alcohol Thursday just before 6 a.m. Police report the man was stumbling, under the influence and unable to take care of himself. Police took the man into custody and held him at the Delaware City Jail until he sobered up. He was then charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.

An anonymous caller reported that teenagers were being mistreated at a residence on Troy Road. Officers investigated and learned that one of the teenagers was suffering from a behavioral health issue and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Officers forwarded the report to Delaware County Job and Family Services for follow-up.

A woman reported her teenage daughter had run away from home on Frank Street Thursday afternoon. Officers located the girl hours later, walking in the area of River Forest Apartments and returned her to her home. No charges were filed because police said the mother would not cooperate with the investigation.

A GPS unit was stolen from Wal-Mart Thursday afternoon. Employees report the device is worth $179.
