Junior dental students at the Delaware Area Career Center get advice from Dr. Richard Barry, a dentist (seated in blue), during the career center’s dental professional panel Friday. Barry was with (from left to right) Mandi Smith, a dental assistant; Constance Clark, a dental hygienist; Sue Mary Wellman, an office manager; and Justine Hamel, an expanded function dental assistant. Hamel was a DACC dental student at the South Campus several years ago, school officials said. The panel spoke to students and told them what it’s like to work in the dental field and gave them advice on how to advance their careers. The panel spoke to both juniors and seniors.
