Delaware police report:

A man was lying on the ground in the area of Estelle Street and East Central Avenue Monday afternoon. Police were dispatched and learned the man had either crashed his bicycle or fall off. The man had an injury to his hand and police report he was intoxicated. He was unable to take care of himself so he was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was later issued a summons to appear in court for a disorderly conduct via intoxication charge.

A passerby reported a toddler was wandering unattended in the area of Stratford Commons Apartment Complex. Officers arrived as a frantic father exited an apartment looking for the child. Police spoke to the father and learned the child let himself out of the apartment while the father was sleeping. The child was unharmed during the incident. A report was taken and will be sent to Delaware County Job and Family Services for review.

A woman reported she was pushed over by her boyfriend during an argument at their home on Chelsea Street. The woman told police she and her boyfriend had been having an argument about moving and during the confrontation he pushed her, causing her to fall over a bathtub and hit her head. She also reported the man had been stabbing the floor with a knife in a threatening manner. Police report the damage to the floor was visible. Police spoke to the man, who acknowledge the argument but denied harming the woman. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Delaware City Jail where he was charged with domestic violence.
