Pair earn Junior Fair scholarships

The Delaware County Agricultural Society awarded two Junior Fair scholarships for 2016.

Bree Vinning was awarded a $1,000 scholarship. She is a graduate of Buckeye Valley High School.

Bree is enrolled as a freshman at Ohio Wesleyan University studying animal science or zoology.

She served four years on the Delaware County Junior Fair Board. Offices held were Rabbit Superintendent and Hog Co-Chair.

She is a member of the hog and rabbit committees. Bree helped Lead/Teach Quality Assurance.

She belongs to the following organizations BV FFA, marching band, softball, National Honor Society, Stockhands Horses for Healing, Car Teens, 4-H Awareness Team, Rockstar Home Church.

Shaelyn Bendele was awarded a $750 Scholarship.

She is a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes. Shaelyn is enrolled as a freshman at Columbus State Business Community College Her area of study is in business administration.

She served on the Delaware Junior Fair Board for three years. Shaelyn helped out at Junior Fair Shows, presentations for 4-H at Elementary Schools in Delaware City Schools and assisted at quality assurances.

She worked for the Children &Veteran Foundations, Hayes High School bowling and tennis teams, color guard and Leadership Team for church youth group.

Her hobbies include showing alpacas, reading, cooking and art.
