Delaware police report:

A juvenile attempted to bite a Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputy Friday afternoon at the Delaware County Juvenile Court. Police report the student made alarming statements at Dempsey Middle School and was transported to the court by the school resource officer. At the court, the boy continued to be unruly and disorderly. The resistance became physical and he tried to bite a deputy, but was restrained. He was taken to a juvenile detention center pending further court proceedings.

A juvenile restrained and threatened another younger juvenile in the area of Scottwood Court Saturday night. Police report the incident occurred after the younger boy used a racial slur. No one was injured and a report was forwarded to the Delaware County Juvenile Court for review.

A group of males stole a “no parking” sign from the ground on Oak Hill Avenue Sunday around 1:15 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.

Officers were summoned to an OWU dorm after a student injured his foot Sunday around 2:20 a.m. Police report the student had kicked in the window of the former Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house on 15 Williams Drive. After kicking in the window he cut his leg on the glass. Police arrived and the boy was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police also report the man was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred. A summons to appear in Delaware Municipal Court was issued for criminal damaging and underage consumption.
