Church serving breakfast

East Side Mission Church is having a breakfast fundraiser Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.

Breakfast includes scrambled eggs,bacon, sausage, hash browns, coffee, milk, juice and your choice of pancakes or sausage gravy and biscuits.

Cost is $7 for adults; children 5 and under $5. All proceeds benefit the church’s building fund.

The church is located at 32 Joy Ave., Delaware.

Garden Gatherings planned

Second Ward Community Initiative is holding their next Garden Gathering on Thursday at 6 p.m. It will be held at the Ross Street Park Pavilion at 50 Ross Street. The topic will be Pollinators in the Garden. The public is welcome to come.

Our last Gathering of the Season will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. The topic will be Putting Your Garden to Bed for the Winter.

Church plans fish fry

An all-you-can-eat fish fry is planned for 5-7 p.m. Saturday at the Springdale Baptist Church in Marysville. A freewill donation will be accepted.

The location is 18881 Springdale Road, Marysville.

Time change for OWU program

The time has changed for a speech next week at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Dan O’Brien, chief economist for the Institute of International and European Affairs, one of Ireland’s leading think tanks, presents “BREXIT and Its Global Challenges.” He will speak at 4:10 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, in the Benes Rooms of Ohio Wesleyan’s Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware.

His presentation is sponsored by the International Studies Program.
