Delaware police report:

An unknown subject tore a rear windshield wiper off of a car Saturday night while it was parked in a parking lot on South Liberty Street.

A businessman in the area of North Sandusky Street and East Winter Street reported that a green Toro push mower had been stolen sometime Sunday evening. Police learned a suspect had been seen running north and then east on Winter Street but was unable to be located. The investigation is ongoing.

A car’s door handle was broken off overnight Friday while the car was parked on Park Avenue. Police believe someone broken the handle while trying to gain entry to the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.

A patrolling officer noticed a small piece of wood smoldering in the street near the dead end of Vernon Avenue Sunday just after 12:30 a.m. The officers stopped but did not discover anyone in the area. Police believe the wood had been lit on purpose and a report was taken to document the incident but nothing was damaged. There are no suspects at this time.
