Authorities have arrested a man they believe robbed a bank in Lewis Center on Friday as well as several other banks in other states.

Todd R. Keith, 41, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, was in the Hamilton County Jail Sunday being held for Delaware County after he robbed the Delaware County Bank located at 34 Evergreen Ave around 12:41 p.m. Friday.

Officials from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday that several gun shots were fired inside the bank, but no one was hit. After the robbery the man fled the scene in a black sedan.

The sheriff’s office reported Saturday morning that the robber, Keith, had been arrested without incident at 10:16 p.m. Friday night in Aberdeen, Ohio, 140 miles from Delaware.

ABC6 in Columbus reports Keith is a suspect in several other crimes including a pair of bank robberies in Ypsilanti, on Sept. 30 and Oct. 3, a pair of hotel robberies in Livonia, Michigan on Oct. 6, fleeing and shooting at Livonia police on Oct. 6, a carjacking in Madison Heights, Michigan on Oct. 6 and armed robberies Friday in Tiffin and Lewis Center.

As a precaution, Olentangy Schools put about a dozen of their schools on lockdown Friday afternoon. It was lifted at 1:50 p.m.

Keith is reportedly scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate Tuesday.
