Preservation Parks of Delaware County has announced upcoming programs.
The programs no not require registration. They include:
• “Hike for Health.” Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m. This is one in a series of hikes in the parks’ FLEX (Free Local EXercise) program. Hikes are free; there is a $5 fee for a hike series T-shirt. All ages. For more information on FLEX, visit www.preservationparks.com and click on “Programs.”
• “Railroad Fun.” Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday, June 21, noon to 4 p.m. Watch model trains as they travel through a miniature village, and learn a bit about the railroad industry in America. Free; all ages. Big Walnut Community Trailhouse, 168 S. Vernon St., Sunbury.
• “Habitat Happenings: Wetlands.” Sunday, June 21, 2 p.m. Bring the family out to explore wetland habitats and the importance they play in creating a healthy ecosystem. Free; all ages. Gallant Woods Preserve, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road. (Meet in the sled hill parking area.)
• “Evening on the Farm.” Saturday, June 27, 6-8 p.m. Help make (and eat) ice cream, pitch horseshoes and play croquet, or sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet evening. Free; for all ages. Gallant Farm, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road.
