MARYSVILLE – Area residents suffering with chronic, non-healing wound issues will have a treatment option when Memorial Hospital opens a new wound care center here.

The center will be located at 483 Coleman’s Crossing Boulevard in Marysville, and is planned to open late this year.

Memorial Hospital is partnering in the facility with Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. Staff and physicians at Memorial Hospital’s new wound care center will collaborate with community physicians to develop a comprehensive care plan for each patient, hospital officials said.

“As Memorial Health continues to expand its services to meet the health needs of the people of our area, we are proud to provide advanced treatment options for an underserved, and growing, patient population,” explains Chip Hubbs, president and CEO of Memorial Health. “Although millions of Americans suffer from non-healing wounds, only a fraction seek treatment from physicians who have the specialized training in wound care management. We hope that, by providing a local wound care center, we can improve the rate of healing, and reduce the chance that the condition could result in more serious issues.”

Memorial Hospital’s new wound care center will include advanced therapies, including two hyperbaric chambers.

Memorial Health is an independent health system based in Marysville.
