A rent-to-own store has expanded its footprint in Delaware.

Showplace Rent To Own acquired the agreements from Aaron’s Rents Delaware and Marysville locations in a recent transaction. Aaron’s Delaware store was located at 1159 Columbus Pike, but closed Wednesday, according to its website.

Showplace already had a Delaware store at 288 S. Sandusky St. in downtown and a Marysville store.

“We have a lengthy history and commitment to each of these towns and their customer bases, opening Delaware in 1991 and Marysville in 1993. Effectively doubling the size of each store, Showplace is well positioned to be the industry leader in those communities,” Showplace President Gary Ferriman said in a statement.

Showplace Rent to Own operates stores in Ashland, Bellefontaine, Bucyrus, Columbus, Dayton, Delaware, Findlay, Galion, Kenton, Mansfield, Marion, Mount Gilead, Marysville and Springfield. The store features a selection of appliances, electronics, accent furniture and mattresses for rental-purchase.

“We are excited at this opportunity and look forward to continued growth in those and other markets,” Showplace Vice President Keith Ferriman said.
