Given the forecast over the next 12 to 24 hours, the Ohio Department of Transportation is on standby and in some counties patroling interstates, state and US routes, ramps and bridges ready to battle the elements which could be freezing rain, ice and snow.

Delaware, Franklin and Union counties will have approximately 40 snow plows on duty through the evening drive home. Managers in the Fayette, Madison, Marion, Morrow and Pickaway counties are monitoring conditions and will bring in snow plow drivers as conditions warrant.

Drivers out and about tonight and into the early morning hours are reminded to take it slow especially on wet pavement.

ODOT will adjust the number of snow plows as conditions warrant.
