The Ohio Department of Transportation provided a an update about ice and snow conditions for Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
Here is the following information:
• 109 ODOT snow plows will start snow and ice duty at 3 p.m. in Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties.
• Snow is expected tonight in the Central Ohio area as the temperatures drop below freezing
• Crews will patrol and salt interstates, state and US routes, ramps and bridges
• A new shift of drivers will come in at 11 p.m. and work thru the night so roadways are safe and passable for the Thursday morning commute
• Drivers should take it slow, especially on ramps and bridges which freeze first
