Delaware Lions Club Pancake Day

The Delaware Lions Club is holding it’s annual Delaware Lions Club Pancake Day on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dempsey Middle School, located at the corner of Troy Rd. and Pennsylvania Ave. in Delaware.

The proceeds from the event will be used to purchase a pilot dog for a blind person.

The day will be filled with fun and entertainment. The entertainment will be provided by musical groups from the Delaware City Schools. At 8:30 a.m. the Suzuki Violin Students will perform. From 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. the Dempsey Middle School Singers will perform. At 9:30, Delaware School’s staff will participate in a Pancake Eating Contest. Following the Pancake Eating Contest, the Hayes High School Ensemble will sing and finally the Delaware Cellos will close out the entertainment for the day.

The Pancake Day event also includes a bake sale, raffle, a silent auction with autographed items from Urban Meyer, Thad Matta and Indians pitcher, Corey Kluber. Lion “L” will also make an appearance for the kids.
