Delaware County sheriff’s deputies say they are searching for a man who robbed the Delaware County Bank in Lewis Center on Tuesday.

Officials from the sheriff’s office report that deputies responded to a robbery-in-progress call at the Delaware County Bank located on Galloper’s Ridge in Lewis Center just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials say the man entered the bank in a camouflage hoodie, black pants and black gloves, and handed a note to the teller, demanding they give him money. No one was harmed in the robbery. Deputies did not disclose the amount of money stolen.

Officials say the man is white, appears to be in his mid-30s and is roughly 6-foot-2. The man fled the bank in an older tan or brown four-door sedan and was headed south. The man appeared to be alone in the vehicle.

Citizens with information about the robbery should contact the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office at 740-833-2892, deputies said.
