Siekman among top OSU seniors

Mary Siekman of Delaware has been selected one of the 2017 Outstanding Seniors in The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences.

Siekman, the daughter of Bernadette Seikman and Dwayne and Pamela Siekman, is a graduating senior majoring in agricultural communication.

She is a member of Alpha Zeta Partners, a college ambassador and works as a news wrier for the Ohio FFA Association. After graduation she plans to work with a non-profit organization in communication or with the City of Columbus Metro Parks and State Parks services.

The awards were presented at a banquet on April 6.

Walters performs in Trine concert

The Trine University Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble will present their spring concert at 3 p.m. April 30 in the Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.

Among the students who will perform as part of the ensembles is Nicole Walters of Sunbury.

The Wind Ensemble is directed by Prof. Mark Kays, chair of Trine’s Department of Music. The Percussion Ensemble is directed by John Moss, adjunct percussion instructor.

The concert is free and open to the public.
