Wheeler promoted at patrol

Trooper Chris L. Wheeler was promoted to the rank of sergeant today by Colonel Paul A. Pride, Ohio Highway Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Training Academy. Sergeant Wheeler will remain at the Delaware Post to serve as an assistant post commander.

Sergeant Wheeler joined the Patrol in June 2005 as a member of the 145th Academy Class. He earned his commission in January of the following year and was assigned to the Toledo Post. As a trooper, he also served at the Marysville and Delaware posts.

Financial planning forum at SourcePoint

April is Financial Literacy Month and Delaware County residents looking for insights on money matters are invited to the Financial Planning Forum at SourcePoint, 800 Cheshire Road in Delaware, Saturday, April 29 from 8:15 a.m. to noon.

The event, presented by Interim HealthCare, features a lineup of 12 CPAs, financial planners, and attorneys presenting one-hour programs on a variety of topics, including annuities, estate planning, how to select a financial advisor, social security and retirement planning, veterans’ benefits, Medicare, and more. Participants can attend up to three classes of their choice.

Road closure in Radnor Township

River Road north of Curren Road to the Marion County line will be closed May 1-2 for a culvert replacement.
