‘Born Learning’ trail to be installed

The Leadership Delaware Class of 2017 is set to install a new “Born Learning” trail at Blue Limestone Park on Saturday.

Leadership Delaware is a program of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, allowing future leaders in Central Ohio a unique opportunity to understand the community’s roots and future.

Throughout the nine-month program, participants meet with leaders in area government, businesses, and schools and universities. At the end of the Leadership Delaware year, graduates choose a project to benefit Delaware County.

This year, your Leadership Delaware class has partnered with the United Way and the Women’s Leadership Network to bring a Born Learning trail to the heart of Delaware.

Born Learning Trails offer 10 activity stations with interactive games that parents, grandparents and caregivers can play with young children.

Each station encourages families to get active and interact with children while building their pre-literacy, gross motor and problem-solving skills. (Learn more about Born Learning trails here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3zYiodIfFs).

The Leadership Delaware class raised $1,000 for the trail; the Women’s Leadership Network matched their fundraising efforts. Installation will be completed by volunteers from the Leadership Delaware Class of 2017.

Installation will begin at 8 a.m.
