Township sets clean-up

Delaware Township will hold its annual Clean-Up Day on Saturday, May 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will take place at the Delaware Township Hall, 2590 Liberty Road, Delaware. You must be a Delaware Township resident to participate. Verification of residency will be required.

The following items will not be accepted: No tires, No paint, No electronics and No televisions. For information contact Larry Starling at 740-272-0672.

Several road closings

The Delaware County Engineer will be closing Butts Road between State Route 257 and South Section Line Road for sewer work. The road will close Monday, May 22, and is scheduled to open Friday July 21.

Also, Big Walnut Road between Worthington Road and Satinwood Drive and Worthington Road between Big Walnut Road and Braymoore Drive. The intersection will close for reconstruction on Tuesday, May 30 and is scheduled to open on Friday, Sept. 1.

Also, East Orange Road between South Old State Road and Summerfield Drive for Delco utility work. The road will close Monday, May 22, and is scheduled to open Wednesday, May 31.
