Woodward Elementary School third grader Shivani Tennety talks to her “friend” Nelly during the school’s Got Talent variety show Wednesday afternoon. Nelly sang songs, did math and told jokes, including a joke about how many ties Woodward Principal Ryan Malany owns. “He owns more ties than Santa Claus!” Nelly said. “But Santa Claus doesn’t have any ties?” Tennety replied. “I know, he gave them all to Mr. Malany!” Nelly joked. The joke was met with applause from students and staff, including Malany.
