A man wanted for two separate homicides was apprehended on Tuesday night by Delaware County sheriff’s deputies and Genoa Township Police.

Genoa Township Police Chief Steve Gammill reports that his officers and sheriff’s deputies received information from Columbus Police that a suspect wanted for homicide in Lima was at 6464 Fox Hollow Drive, in Genoa.

Deputies and police searched the home and arrested two Lima men, Chaz M. Robertson, 27, and Jontez P. White, 26.

Deputies reported that White was arrested for two warrants, one out of Lima for complicity to commit murder and the other out of Cuyahoga County for murder. Robertson was charged with possession of drugs.

Robertson appeared Wednesday morning in Delaware Municipal Court and later posted bond.

White remained in the Delaware County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

Gammill said that investigators also located two handguns in a toilet and a large quantity of drugs at the home.

“It appears at this time there was some level of drug dealing being run through this house and we ask anyone in the neighborhood that might have information to contact us at 614-568-2060,” Gammill said in a Facebook post Tuesday night. “Your officers and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office did a great job containing this situation and making sure there was no threat to the community.”

Sheriff’s officials report the case is currently being investigated by the Delaware County Drug Task Force.

The Lima News reports that White is wanted by Lima Police for his involvement in a July 2016 shooting. The newspaper reports that Demonta Rogers, 24, and White got in a fight with a man, Remeal Ingram, in a parking lot of the G-Spot bar and that White and Rogers pulled out handguns and killed Ingram.

Rogers was convicted of involuntary manslaughter with a gun and was sentenced to five years in prison.

The Lima News reports there was a second killing at the G-Spot bar and it was later closed down.
