Employment For Seniors fall workshop in Delaware County

The “Job Searching? Learn Strategies That Work!” program consists of four workshops over a two-day period. Participants learn tips for employment searching in today’s economy, including such topics as: resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, and social media.

Created to provide Delaware County mature job seekers with the “nuts and bolts” needed in today’s job market, the workshops will be offered at SourcePoint, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware. Participants can register for one or more sessions.

Day 1 workshops – Sept. 21 or Oct. 19 or Nov. 9

• 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., “Foundations of Job Search, Resume and Cover Letters AND

• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., “Accomplishments and Interviewing”

Day 2 workshops – Sept. 26 or Oct. 19 or Nov. 14

• 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. — “Networking and Internet Research for a Job Search AND

• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. — “LinkedIn”

The Delaware County workshop program is free of charge for those Delaware residents 50 years and older. Registration is required because space is limited. Calling the EFS office at 614-863-1219 to register.

This job-assistance non-profit organization has been serving Central Ohio seniors for 45 years. Mature job seekers may schedule an appointment at the 4300 East Broad St. location. The EFS office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
