DCS serves its way to 3-set win

The Delaware Christian girls volleyball team served its way past host Granville Christian Tuesday, collecting 21 aces en route to a three-set win.

The Eagles won the first two sets with relative ease, jumping out to a two-set lead with wins of 25-11 and 25-13. The third and final set was more competitive, but DCS closed things out with a 25-18 win.

Anna Fuller had eight of her team’s 21 aces. She also chipped in 21 digs and three kills.

Other Delaware Christian standouts included Sarah Rosato, who finished with 10 digs, nine kills and six aces; Lyssi Snouffer, who had 14 digs, 11 kills and three aces for a double-double; Maggie Broadfoot, who led in blocks with four; and Erin Bauslaugh, who had a team-best 25 assists to go with six digs and two aces.

Olentangy Orange 3, Westerville North 0

Sidney Gossard led the Pioneers with nine kills while Carrigan O’Reilly had 30 assists during Tuesday’s league win over the host Warriors.

Orange won the first set 25-12 before taking the next two by respective scores of 25-16 and 25-12.

BOYS SOCCER

Drew Clement found the back of the net and the Braves defense took care of the rest en route to a 1-0 league win over Westerville North Tuesday night.

GIRLS SOCCER

Olentangy Orange posted a pair of goals in the first half and added to the lead in the second on the way to a 3-0 league win over visiting Westerville Central Tuesday night in Lewis Center.

Camila Hall scored off a feed from Taylor Foreman midway through the first half and Mackenzie Blendick poked in a second several minutes later to give the Pioneers a 2-0 lead they maintained until the break.

Grace Weidenhamer found the back of the net in the second half to account for the final margin.
