Artists Guild meets Monday

The Delaware Artists Guild’s October meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23 at Ohio Wesleyan University’s sculpture studio in Haycock Hall. Jonathan Quick, sculpture professor at OWU, will talk about the upcoming iron-pouring process. Haycock Hall is on Hayes Street off of Henry Street, just north of the practice field and across the street from the pool and recreation building.

SourcePoint faith breakfast Oct. 26

SourcePoint will host its Faith Breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 a.m. at 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware. Religious leaders, church staff, and volunteers are invited to the free event. Clare Edwards, SourcePoint’s community education supervisor, will offer a presentation on dealing with stress as a family caregiver and resources for those caring for a loved one with dementia. Attendees can participate in Dublin Retirement Village’s Mobile Virtual Dementia Tour. Trick or Treat Trail at Deer Haven Park

Preservation Parks invites guests to the Trick or Treat Trail on Sunday, Oct. 22 at Deer Haven Park. Come in costume to gather treats from characters along the s-p-o-o-k-y trail from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be pumpkins to decorate, hayrides to enjoy, & visitors can vote to decide the winner of the build a scarecrow contest. Friends of the Library anniversary

Friends of the Delaware County District Library is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The final celebration will be held Sunday, Oct. 22 at Powell from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be refreshments, games, and face painting. The public is welcome. For information, visit delawarelibraryfriends.org.

Kennel Club presents dog show

The Delaware Kennel Club All Breed and Junior Showmanship Dog Show is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 28-29 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The 2016 show featured about 1,000 dogs representing 135 breeds. Winners of Best in Breed will compete to win Best in Show. Admission is free. Parking costs $5. For information, call 740-815-2631. Castle Arts Affair returns

The Arts Castle’s Castle Arts Affair is scheduled for Nov. 3-12. The preview party is planned for 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Arts Castle. Admission is $45 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at artscastle.org. The show and sale will be open daily with artist demonstrations on selected days. The schedule is available at artscastle.org.

Evening with George Nov. 1

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library will host an Evening with George at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the main library, 84 E. Winter St. Library Director George Needham will provide an update about the library and answer questions from those in attendance. Tours of the library will be available. Refreshments will be served. CASA pancake breakfast Nov. 4

A pancake breakfast to benefit Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Delaware and Union Counties is planned for Saturday, Nov. 4 at Delaware Christian Church, 2280 W. William St., Delaware. The all-you-can-eat meal will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. Admission is $7 for adults, $2 for children age 4 and younger.
