Talented high school musicians from several states will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 as part of the 54th annual Ohio Wesleyan University President’s High School Band Festival.

The concert will be held in Gray Chapel inside University Hall, 61 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. The young musicians – invited from Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, and beyond — will be conducted by Ohio Wesleyan professor and renowned trumpeter Larry Griffin, D.M.A.

Ohio Wesleyan’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble also will perform at the Jan. 20 concert.

During their visit to Ohio Wesleyan, the high school students also will participate in the daylong band festival, which provides learning and scholarship opportunities for musicians recommended to attend by their school music directors.
