Delaware police report:

A family was squatting in a house on Chamberlain Street and tried to tell police they were renting it. In January police were called to the house after the owner returned to find a family living there. The owner said the house belongs to him and his estranged wife, and he was moving back in. The squatters said they had rented it from a man they believed was the true owner. Police began an investigation and concluded Sunday that the landlord does not exist and the squatters had been living there illegally. Charges were forwarded to the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office.

A drunken man was urinating on the side of The Strand building Tuesday about 1:20 a.m. He was arrested and taken to the city jail where he subsequently caused minor damage and was charged with criminal mischief. He was then transported to the Delaware County Jail.

A piece of paper left in a lab at Ohio Wesleyan University Friday afternoon contained a threat. Police and OWU public safety officers conducted an investigation and learned that two students had been working there earlier. Police spoke to the students who said the paper was left behind by accident and was not intended to be a threat. No charges were filed.

Police warned a man Monday night after he continued to contact a woman on Richards Drive after being told to stop. The woman reported the man had repeatedly called and text-messaged her after she had told him to stop. Police issued a warning to the man and a telecommunications harassment report was taken. No charges were filed Monday.
