The Center for Older Adults held the second annual Central Ohio Senior Table Tennis Tournament Thursday.

Thirty-five seniors representing senior centers and groups in Columbus, Gahanna, Upper Arlington, Marion, Westerville, Worthington, Bexley and the Center for Older Adults in Delaware played in a bracket-style tournament of singles and doubles.

The oldest player in the competition was Al Horen, 87, of Worthington. Players as young as 55 also competed.

The Central Ohio Inter-Senior Center Table Tennis Group meets monthly for recreational play with an average of 28 players, said event organizer Richard Rhoad.

Winners of the tournament were Steve Sun in the singles tournament, representing the Center for Older Adults, and Richard Rhoad and Tony Owen in the doubles tournament, also representing the Westerville Senior Center.
