Two people were taken into custody following a Thursday morning shooting incident at Alum Creek State Park.
Bryan C. Hoff, 34, and Amber J. Hoff, 29, both of Columbus, were arrested after the shooting that resulted in no injuries.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the parks camping area at 9:17 a.m. on reports of a shot fired.
According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Tracy Whited, the shooting was the result of a argument between campers.
“It appears that it was an argument that escalated into a large fight,” she said.
Bryan Hoff is believed to have fired a shot into the ground during the argument.He has been charged with tampering with evidence and having a weapon while under disability, third-degree felonies, along with inducing panic, endangering children and aggravated menacing, all first-degree misdemeanors.
His wife, Amber Hoff, was charged with falsification, a first-degree misdemeanor.
The park was not evacuated.
The investigation is ongoing.
