Ohio Wesleyan senior running back Kevin Herman is one of a record number of nominations for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, it was recently announced by Allstate and the AFCA.
Herman was a versatile offensive threat for the Bishops last season as he led the squad in rushing with 414 yards and was the team’s fifth-leading receiver with 30 grabs. He was a standout on special teams, too, leading the North Coast Athletic Conference with 22 punt returns on his way to honorable mention All-NCAC recognition for the second straight season.
The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team honors college football players at all levels of the sport for their selfless acts of giving back to the community and off-the-field achievements. The 2014 Good Works Team will be comprised of 11 players from the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III, and the NAIA. The final roster of 22 award recipients will be unveiled in September.
Ohio Wesleyan opens its season on Saturday, Sept. 6, when the Bishops visit Bluffton.
