Big Walnut overcame a one point halftime deficit to defeat Mansfield Senior 33-21 on Friday night at Golden Eagle Stadium.
Jordan Wall rushed for two touchdowns in the first half and threw for one in the third quarter that put the Golden Eagles up 19-14. They never trailed again.
Brayden Shepherd scampered 24 yards with 9:58 left in the fourth quarter to give Big Walnut a 26-14 lead.
Mansfield Senior quarterback Brandon Swindall scrambled 15 yards to cut the lead to five with 4:04 left.
On the ensuing possession, Christian Johnson found a hole up the middle and ran 49 yards to put the game out of reach.
Tyquan Vickers rushed for two touchdowns for Mansfield Senior in the first half.
