SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Construction of the roundabout on Shawnee and Fort Amanda roads have progressed to the point where the contractor for the project will be changing traffic patterns at that intersection, according to the Allen County Engineer’s Office.

On Monday, Eagle Bridge Co. will temporarily close the left turn lanes on both Shawnee and Fort Amanda roads and eliminate all left turn signals. Left turns will still be permitted, but without a dedicated left turn lane, longer delays at that intersection should be expected.

Motorists are encouraged to find an alternative route during construction, but if no other route is available, drivers are reminded to slow down and use caution while in the construction zone.
