Minnie A. Swearengin, 97, of Delaware, passed away Tuesday (Oct. 20, 2009) at the Sarah Moore Home where she has made her home for the past seven years.

She was born July 29, 1912, in Delaware to the late Worley and Susan Appleman. She was a member of the Bellpoint United Methodist Church for 20 years.

She is survived by three sons, Jim (Elva) of Ostrander, Joe of McConnelsville and Jack (Bobbie) of Worthington; six grandchildren, Sheryl (Pete) Finley, Krystal (Ron) Beatty, Shelly Kay Sills, Jennifer (Doug) Cvelbar, Tina Swearengin and Dan (Averi) Swearengin; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul in May 1990, two brothers and three sisters.

Her sons would like to thank the staff at Sarah Moore for their love, devotion and excellent care they gave to their mother while she lived there.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday Oct. 25 at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, OH, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 with the Rev. Paul McCullough officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bellpoint United Methodist Church or to the Sarah Moore Home.
