Elizabeth Marshall

Elizabeth Marshall, 98, of Delaware died peacefully at home Thursday (Oct. 22, 2009) surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 14, 1911 in Fairmont, WV to the late Louis and Sarah (Hall) Robinson. Originally from Morgantown, WV, where she worked as an LPN, she moved to Delaware 13 years ago.

A wonderful cook, spaghetti and apple pie were her favorites. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, sewing, and all types of crafts. A woman of dignity, who was proper and precise, she was affluent with the English language and possessed a radiant personality.

Survived by her daughter: Mavis Ward of Delaware, son: Shirley (Darlene) Marshall of Lakewood, CO, 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, as well as many friends at Heritage Day Health Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband: John in 1958, sons: John Jr. and Jerry, daughter; Sarah Parker, Grandchildren: Leon Ward Jr., Joyce Marshall, 3 Brothers; George, John, Jim Pines, and Sister: Mary.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where services will follow at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown, W.V.
