Anita M. Deel

Anita M. Deel, 62, of Delaware, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (Oct. 25, 2009) in Delaware.

She was born Aug. 2, 1947 in Columbus to Curly and Hattie (Scott) Crawford. A lifelong Delaware resident, she was a licensed minister and member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She attended the Outreach Christian Center and was very involved in the missionary programs of the church. She was employed by the Delaware City Schools in their SACC programs. She was known by all to be a loving and giving person.

She is survived by her husband Martie of 32 years; daughters Natalie F. Mason of Delaware and Consuela Marie Deel-Hunt (Ty) of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren Victor Ray Mason II and Victoria Tika-Marie Mason; sister Marsha E. Smith of Columbus; niece and nephew Tiffaney Applegate and Ranyell Scott; former son-in-law Vic Mason; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother Mary Bell Scott, uncle Beverly Scott and aunt Edna Crowder.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m on Thursday, Oct. 29 at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, with Bishop James Gaiters of Grace Apostolic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will host a reception afterwards at the Byxbe’s Banquet Hall.
