Anna M. Smith, 93, of Delaware died early Thursday morning at Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 7, 1916 in Leonardsburg, Ohio to Leslie and Geraldine (Grant) Wornstaff. She was a 1934 graduate and valedictorian of Brown High School, which she was very proud of, and was also the owner/operator of the former News Shop, Delaware. She enjoyed card playing, knitting, and playing Scrabble.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Anne (Gillman) Parks of Delaware; two grandsons, Michael Michel of Gilbert, Arizona and Steven Parks of Grove City; great grandson, Zachary Tyler Parks of Grove City; two sisters, Helen Kern of New Mexico and Mona Schindler of Findlay; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul L. Smith in 1980, brother Harley Wornstaff, and a sister Cora Logan.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services observed. Rodman Neeper Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
