To the editor:

This is a letter of appreciation and recognition of Dr. Cassie Weaver, medical director of VetCare Animal Wellness Clinic on Houk Road, Delaware.

I had occasion to meet Dr. Weaver and her capable staff when our family dog’s life-threatening accident sent me on a frantic search for a veterinarian. Dr. Weaver and Lindsey Campbell, vet tech, met me at the door, just as they were closing for the day, took one look at Draper and rushed him into surgery.

For the next seven days of Draper’s stay, the staff, including Lolita Taylor, office manager, went out of their way to provide him with loving attention and expert medical treatment. Dr. Weaver even went to the Kroger store next door to find a food that his upset digestive system could tolerate!

I strongly recommend Dr. Weaver and her staff to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian in the Delaware area. Your pet and you will be in good hands.
