To the editor:

I started working on the idea to increase the hotel bed tax in Delaware County in February 2014. On March 15, 2016, the citizens of Delaware County overwhelmingly made that increase a reality.

Early planning has been taking place and more will come as the money starts to come in to the county agricultural fund. Quarterly reports will be presented to county commissioners. Bonds could be issued.

There is a lot to do but I feel that the most important thing is to simply say, “Thank you,” to the citizens of Delaware County for their support.
