On behalf of the community residents who receive the assistance and support they need to overcome a mental health and substance abuse disorder, I want to thank voters for their overwhelming support of the mental health & recovery services renewal levy in the November election.

Monies provided by passage of this levy go to the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board. The DMMHRS Board coordinates, oversees and funds the work of our community non-profit agencies that provide mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment services and supports to local residents.

Through the excellent work of our network of providers, individuals can receive the needed treatment services and supports that leads to recovery, be employed members of our community and families can be preserved. Additional services are available for children, families, and schools including suicide prevention, crisis response, school-based drug and alcohol prevention programs, fighting the heroin/pain pill epidemic and counseling services.

The DMMHRS Board is the steward of the public dollars that the local taxpayers entrust us with for these vital services. The Board takes this responsibility seriously and will continue to operate within the 1.0 mill levy which was first passed in 1986.

Should any citizen or organization in either Delaware or Morrow County have a question regarding mental health and substance abuse service issues in the community or need assistance in accessing these services, please do not hesitate to contact us. Again, thank you for your support.
