In its first outing since scoring just one run on opening day, the Delaware Hayes baseball team rebounded in a big way, erupting for 21 runs on 22 hits in a 21-9 win over host London Wednesday.

The Pacers (1-1) scored four runs in the first inning and five in the second to take a 9-3 lead through two.

They added another run in the fourth and broke things open with a seven spot in the fifth. Hayes added four more just for good measure in the top of the seventh.

Noah Watts led the way from the dish, finishing 3-for-5 with a homer, three runs scored and two RBI. Ryan Daughenbaugh, Josh Allen, Mason W. Davis and Mason J. Davis also had big days, closing with three hits apiece. Daughenbaugh and Mason McGeath had three RBI each.
