Staff Report

Former all-everything Buckeye Valley and Bowling Green standout and current professional basketball player Scott Thomas is slated to host his annual basketball camp in early July.

The event, for players entering grades 3-8, will begin on Thursday, July 8, and wrap up Friday, July 9. Both sessions will be held at Buckeye Valley High School.

The camp will feature instruction in shooting, ball handling, rebounding, passing and offensive moves. Participants receive instruction from Thomas and a handful of other former collegiate players and professional coaches. Campers will also receive a t-shirt.

The cost is $35, with all proceeds going back to BV. A portion will go to the Buckeye Valley boys basketball team while the rest will go toward the Scott Thomas Basketball Scholarship. Thomas has donated more than $3,000 to the BVHS boys program over the last two years and plans to award two $500 scholarships to Baron basketball players this year.
