The Olentangy Liberty boys volleyball team opened the postseason with a win, knocking off visiting Westerville North 3-1 Saturday in Powell.
The Patriots won the first set 25-16, lost the second 20-25, but bounced back to take the third and fourth by respective scores of 25-19 and 25-23.
James Loftus, Blake Knollman and AJ Smith led the attack, finishing with a combined 25 kills. Loftus had a team-best 12 to go with four blocks.
Other standouts included Brennan Walentschak, who orchestrated the offense with 44 assists; and Shiva Dubbaka, who had a team-best 19 digs in the win.

BOYS LACROSSE
Liberty didn’t have much trouble handling Marysville in its tournament opener, winning 17-1 Saturday in Powell.
Vincent Ramondelli and Johnny Wiseman led the offense with three goals apiece while Griffin Hughes finished with a team-best four assists.
Skylar Wahland anchored the defense with four saves while splitting time in the Patriot goal.
Orange 7, Westlake 4
Westlake scored late in the third to make it a 4-3 game, but the Pioneers used a 3-0 run to balloon the edge to 7-3 en route to a Division I regional quarterfinal win Saturday in Lewis Center.
Cooper Durst, Luke Schmeling and Nick Brandt scored during the game-deciding run.
